A new mole just appeared on my 3 month old babys skin. So far this is his first one. It started out tiny and is now a little bigger. Is it considered a mole or birth mark?
Is it normal for infants to develop growing moles? He was born with none and I know kids develop moles as they grow.
Bottom line, is it okay if it changed size?

You should bring it up with your pediatrician at the next visit, which is presumably any day now. Without seeing it, no one here can tell you whether or not it needs to be checked out by a specialist.

I actually don't know when I'll see the pediatrician next. So far he's BH doing well.
It looks totally normal. I was just wondering whether a new mole always grows until it settles. Do moles suddenly appear on the skin in any size? Or do they always start out tiny and grow to a certain size.

It's normal for moles to appear, but it's not usually normal for them to grow noticeably. I would ask the ped about it.
