Looking for solid toys that they can enjoy after school
My son is 8 so some kind of building toy , beside for lego.
Any blocks you recommend ?

IMO Lego is the ultimate for that age, if you're looking to spend more you can get one of the robotics kits that take it to a totally different level.

Google "Toys are Tools" a blogger who has a son around that age and finds really great stuff.

I'd recommend kapla blocks. there are knock-off versions that are less $$

also, wedgits are cool but you need a lot of pieces so it can get pricey
