Thanks!

Sticky toffee cake:
(Recipe is from Nigella Lawson - http://www.nigella.com/recipes.....g-180)
Obviously use soya milk, margarine to make it pareve.

Cake:
½ cup dark brown sugar
1 ¼ cups self-raising flour
½ cup whole milk
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
1 ½ cups chopped dates

Sauce:
1 cup dark brown sugar
approx. 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (in little blobs)
2 cups boiling water

Method

Preheat the oven to 190°C/gas mark 5/375ºF and butter a 1½ litre / 6 cups capacity pudding dish.

Combine the 100g / ½ cup of dark muscovado sugar with the flour in a large bowl. Pour the milk into a measuring jug, beat in the egg, vanilla and melted butter and then pour this mixture over the sugar and flour, stirring - just with a wooden spoon - to combine. Fold in the dates then scrape into the prepared pudding dish. Don't worry if it doesn't look very full: it will do by the time it cooks.

Sprinkle over the 200g / 1 cup of dark muscovado sugar and dot with the butter. Pour over the boiling water (yes really!) and transfer to the oven. Set the timer for 45 minutes, though you might find the pudding needs 5 or 10 minutes more. The top of the pudding should be springy and spongy when it's cooked; underneath, the butter, dark muscovado sugar and boiling water will have turned into a rich, sticky sauce. Serve with vanilla ice cream, creme fraiche, double or single cream as you wish.

Cola roast ('Secret Ingredient Roast' from Dining In):

1-4lb roast
3 cloves garlic
1/3 cup ketchup
garlic powder
onion powder
paprika
2 small onions
1 cup cola (not diet or decaf)

(I sear the roast in a frying pan first) Place roast in a large roasting pan, rub with garlic cloves and ketchup. Sprinkle on spices. Slice onions in quarters and place on top of roast. Cover and bake on 350c for 3 1/2 to 4 hours, basting 2x whilst cooking. (I slice it and add more cola when I heat it up on the hotplate, to make sure it stays soft).

Enjoy!

Funny, I don't really have a recipe for apple cranberry crisp...it's one of those things that I just make! The basic idea is to slice any kind of apple that you like thinly (I like to use gala). I put it into an aluminium tin and sprinkle cinnamon and a little lemon juice. Layer cranberry sauce on top. Then I mix together flour, brown and white sugar, sometimes oats, and margarine and crumble together. I usually taste the crumble part and adjust flour, sugar or oil as needed. Sprinkle generously on top of the apples and bake at 350 for probably a half hour, maybe longer...

The peanut butter cups I have never actually made but my mother made them for my DH when she found out that he misses Reeses Peanut Butter Cups since he started keeping C"Y.
Here is the recipe that my mother has from an old school fundraiser cookbook:

Imitation "Reese Cups"

1 1/2 tablespoons margarine
3 oz. chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup confectioner's sugar

Melt chocolate and margarine in a double boiler. Let cool while mixing other ingredients.

Mix together peanut butter and sugar. Shape into 1 inch balls. Coat with chocolate. Set on waxed paper and refrigerate until firm.

Makes 18 candies. Freezes well.

eema of 3 can you the crunchy caramel cookies recipe?

Hamin eggs are those slow baked eggs where whites turn light brown colour, often cooked with hamin/cholent. I usually bake separately wrapped in foil, or you can cheat and boil for an hour or so in water with coffee grind/onion skin to get the brown colour.

This is a great honey soy sauce to pour over the nuggets. Omit the red pepper flakes unless you like the heat.

The kugelettes recipe is posted http://imamother.com/forum/vie.....64115 by eema of 3.

For Israeli Couscous, I take a bag of Israeli Couscous (I use Osem brand, they are bigger than regular couscous in Israel they are called Ptitim I think) and cook them according to the package instructions, but I add some chicken soup mix to the boiling water. Saute an onion and some mushrooms either canned or fresh and add some minced garlic. Add that to the couscous and that's it!
