Anyone have an old Amana oven (I "inherited" mine from previous owner)? it shuts off after 12 hours as a safety feature. The newer ones since have the "Sabbath Mode" but mine does not.
I wanted to know if there's a way to override it...can't get through to them.

After setting the temperature, try to hold the + and - buttons down simultaneously, it should then flash Sab then you just have to push start. Hope I am remembering correctly. Good Luck. Please let me know if it works.

I don't have any of those buttons it does not it come with Sabbath Mode. This is an old pre- SM oven

Does it have arrows or more temp or less temp? How do you change the temperature?

I just looked at my oven also an amana (which doesn't have Sabbath mode), by my model you have to hold down the clock button to override the 12 hour safety feature.

Tried that already. No go.
Guess my oven is prehistoric!
I was looking for an excuse to finally get a new one... Now that's a whole other question!

On some models, holding down the button that makes the temp go up and the button that makes the temp go down together overrides the 12 hr. feature.
