I like to sutee a bunch of onions at once when doing bulk cooking. How much do I put in when a recipe calls for one sautéed onion? Is there a measurement?

such a good idea, I used to do that. I should really start doing that again. I would just estimate, whatever looks right. most of the time it doesn't really have to be exact ;-)

you keep it in the freezer?
You can put it into small containers divided by how many onions you had. 8 onions = 8 containers.

now that you mention freezing it, I think I remember someone telling me that she freezes it in ice cube trays! Although that sounds quite small. Maybe I would use muffin tins. There are mini ones available too!

I put them in baggies. It's cheap, easy and takes no room in freezer.
