I don't often (as in never) take my sheital to get washed and set. I wash it myself. It has a lot of natural body so I don't think it really needs a lot. However, often I am finding that the strands are seperating and clumping making it look unkept.
What do I do about that? I wash it depending on how often I wear it. Basically, if the mesh on the inside starts to smell a little gamey, I wash it. Should I wash it with something to prevent this or is there something I can put on it dry that will help?

Use more shampoo when you wash it and brush it regularly. You maybe need to wash it more often.
