My boss told me he's giving me a $1000 bonus that needs to be used before yom tov (and I asked if we can have extension till the end of bain hazmanim which he graciously gave)...

If I take the money I'll have to pay taxes on it, so I prefer to use it for something and get reimbursed...

So we're thinking of taking an all expenses paid vacation...

I live in Jerusalem... Was thinking to go someplace in Europe the week after succos for a few days, but doesnt seem like I could find cheap tickets to anywhere... So we will probably end up staying in Israel and going somewhere nice here. We'll rent a car...

Any suggestions?

I've heard Kibbutz lavi is nice. What's there to do there? Whats the kosher hotel there?
We can't go to tiveria because my husband is a kohen and there are issues with kvarim.

I'd love to hear more suggestions! TIA!

We got lots of info off of booking.com. Do you have kids to entertain as well?

Friends of ours did this and loved it! There is also a few wineries in the area to visit, if you're into that
carmel winery, tulip winery to name 2
Did you ever visit the De Karina chocolate factory? great trip!

OP here. Thanks everyone for your responses...

Don't think we'll be heading to venice/milan now. We already gave up on the idea of flying somewhere. Anyway I can't really take off too much time so staying in this country is probably more efficient... But thanks to whoever posted that link!

Chani8 - I'll check out booking.com, thanks! I have a 1.5 yr old... Any suggestions?

The wineries and chocolate factories sound right up our alley actually!! Thanks Lizzie! I'll definitely look into it.

I'd love some more ideas as well! Smile

Try checking to see if you can find an affordable flight to Italy - Rome or Venice have direct flights, and a few days there could be a great getaway and change of scenery.

We decided to stay in Israel.

Anyone have any information about kibbutz lavi?
My husband is also very particular about hechsherim... so we need only mehadrin mehadrin food (think eidah hachareidis, landau, etc)

Island Suites Hotel is stunning! I stayed there and had a great time. It has a restaurant and is on the beach... Totally recommend it.
