What do you all use? I want something stronger than k9, perhaps a whitelist. I tried Rimon but it didn't work well with my computer. Please give your recommendations! I am in Israel, if that makes a difference.

venishmartem.com has some great options for US and Israel.

We use SafeEyes for our computers.

I use Nativ (in Israel). It's a whitelist filter. But they were very anti-imamother- had to fight to get it!

You can use Norton Online Family on that too.

Where is K9 deficient? Perhaps you need to adjust the settings better.
I created a white list for my kids with k9. Its not called a white list. But what you do is you block ALL sites (in the settings section) and you unblock, or add the the allowed list only those sites that you specifically allow.

The only complaint that I have with the K9 filter is that you cannot block google and allow google classroom, for example. But you can allow google email.

The more frustrated my kids are with it, the more I know that its working very well.
Its a work in progress. I told my kids to write down for me all websites that they wish to visit, and I slowly check them out and decide whether I want to add it to the allowed list.
