My DD needs major surgery. I have researched for a long time the surgeon I would like to use.
My problem is that she is on Medicaid and the doctor doesnt not accept it.
Would it be a problem to switch just her to private insurance and then after the surgery to switch her back or just keep her on and the rest of my kids on Medicaid?
I have been pushing the surgery of for awhile because I dont know where to turn for help.
Thanks

I'm not sure if law has changed but you can have two insurances. We did this for my husband 6 years ago, he went on regular health insurance for a surgery and kept medicaid, it was considered a secondary insurance. We kept the plan for two months and then cancelled it. We never did anything with medicaid. You should probably call an insurance broker to see if it can still be done.
