They sell imitation perfumes at the dollar store. Can I use them?

I don't understand your question. Why would you think that you couldn't use them?

I see your point. But this kind of thing might be better quality, and also costs a dollar, sort of.

Do you mean: Is there any halachic problem using a product that benefits from a counterfeiting?
If it's really counterfeit, it's illegal, so at minimum you've got to worry about Dina DMalchuta Dina...

Or do you mean: Are there health hazards involved?

Or do you mean: Are there political issues (I.e., sponsoring terrorism)?

Very often the cheap perfumes have more alcohol and less scent. It may smell good initially, but then it wears off faster and just smells like alcohol.

Does anyone ever wonder why people post weird or obscure questions and then don't answer the people who took the time to respond? We're all speculating about what OP may have meant, but she hasn't yet seen fit to say "yes, DrMom, I meant is it halachickly permissible" or "yes, champion, I meant can I wear them and not cause people to surreptitiously check the soles of their shoes."

Op here.

Sorry, I was busy. This was the answer to my question. The perfumes in the dollar store smelled nice for only $3.50 and I was wondering if there was a catch.

Everything in the dollar store has a catch:

The helium balloons lose their height pretty quickly, when compared to filled balloons at premium places.
The pitcher lid doesn't close that well so you can't shake the drink inside.

Just two examples of stuff I bought there the last few weeks.

There are lots of great dollar store products, you just have to know what's worth buying and what's really inferior quality. I once read a blog post on the topic, and they reviewed lots of items from different dollar stores. It was great.

I recently bought paper plates at a dollar store that were much better quality than what I usually buy. I also got a couple of brand name toys for much cheaper than they sell them elsewhere. Most cosmetics are not worth it though.

I once got very nice hand cream from Israel at a dollar store. Sadly, I saw it that once and never again.
