Planning a vacation to LA and San Diego with my husband (no kids). Looking for recommendations for kosher groceries and restaurants and things to do. Thanks!

What are you interested in?
In Los Angeles itself there are hundreds of restaurants and places to buy kosher food and takeout. It all depends on where you will be staying and what food you want to eat. Mexican, Italian, stakehouse, sushi, burgers, ice cream/frozen yogurt, meat, dairy, deli, Israeli, vegetarian/vegan....and of course at least a dozen plus pizza shops. Plus takeout at many frum and secular grocery stores (including shabbos food).
In San Diego I think the Ralphs (Kroger store) has kosher food.
What do you want to do? San Diego zoo is totally worth a trip, even with no kids. Will you have a car? Highly recommended-car and gps if you will be going between San Diego and LA...

Yes well be renting a car and have gps on our phones. We're looking for any recommendations for nice dinners out or grab and go for when out and about.

Where will you be staying? That matters a LOT. You don't want to go an hour for dinner you could hav gotten much closer.
What's your budget like? The Herzog winery is amazing but pricey. Great restaurant but $$$$$. It's also a bit of a drive from LA proper.
Think about asking for "a kosher place to eat in Brooklyn". Similar to LA except we don't have a pizza shop on every block as we have lots of different restaurants that need to be locate on specific block for city permit issues...
