So my polling place changed to a church and I was really unsure what to do today. I have never missed an election and did not want to miss this one. Whereas usually I would bring my children so they can see the "process" I did not want to bring them to this site. What would you have done? Voted there or skipped voting and maybe do an absentee ballot next time?

I asked my rav about attending political and other fully secular events in a church--many churches are rented for Weight Watchers, town hall meetings and so on--and he said so long as you aren't going into the sanctuary and services are not being held at the time, it's obvious that you're there for non-church-related reasons and it's totally fine. I would not skip voting.
