I have a "transfer chair" in my bathtub that ws used for an elderly parent that has been in the same place for so long that when I tried lifting the chair this morning, it is as though it is glued in place and I can't separate it from the tub. I do not want the suction cups to come off the legs of the chair, as this is something I borrowed from a friend, and I want to return it in perfect condition as it was given to me. Any way to remove the chair from the tub without scratching the tub or loosening the suction cups? Help!

You've got to break the suction with something thin, flat and strong but not sharp.
Try to gently push it underneathw the suction cup.
Maybe a butter knife?
