I posted this in other places under my name, so I'm going to go anonymous on this.

My 3 year old daughter is having a mock wedding in school and she needs to come dressed as the band. Any ideas on how to dress her? Thanks!

She'll look adorable without the vest Smile. Maybe a dark sweater? But I think she'll look the part either way!

Cut out musical notes/instruments out of oak tag or colored paper and stick it on her shirt?

If you really want to do more, maybe a toy microphone or headset type thing? Or a bowtie (don't they usually wear tuxedos? Or is that just the waiters and photographers?)

She's 3 years old. A shabbos dress to make her feel special and a cardboard cutout of a guitar hung around her neck should be just fine.

My 2 year old is having a mock wedding too. I wonder if they're in the same class Smile . She's going to be a flower girl. I'm just going to dress her in a Shabbos outfit. We also have this little white satin purse that someone gave as a present for her once that we never used-I'm thinking of sending that along too. I want to see pictures of this thing Very Happy

Maybe they are in the same class. What school is she in? My first thought was, why can't she be the flower girl and make my life easier. lol.

I think I'm going to dress her in white and navy and I might make some musical notes to put on her clothes since I'm crafty, and she'll take some instruments.

Thanks everyone for your help.

Just a btw, a lot of preschools do a mock wedding this week because of the wedding of yitzchok and rivka in the parshah.

Ah, I was wondering what this was all about.

Do they get a grown man to play Yitzhak, to make it authentic?

There are like probably a gazillion mock weddings going on in preschools this week.

Seriously, I always thought the mock wedding thing was pretty creepy. 2 and 3yo's don't care, anyway. They just want cookies and punch. Don't even get me started on dressing the boy in as the kallah if they don't have any girls in that grade. shock

Besides, I'm pretty sure that Rivka and Yitzchok didn't have a band with tuxedoes and a guitar. I'd dress her in Middle Eastern clothing and give her a tambourine, small drum, or a flute.
