for eyeglasses.
I was recommended to quit wearing contact lenses because of some complicated issues I've developed lately.
I want to get a frame that is fashionable yet not too loud so the transition won't feel as severe.
I've noticed lately that most are wearing heavy looking plastic frames in all different shapes, some quite large. Mostly dark colored. I'm not sure that's what I'd want for myself. IOW, I don't want anything sharp looking. I'd probably go for a soft look.
I also have a small face so don't want a very large rim.
Also need refferences of stores in Boro park that are known for their reputable services.
I'd also appreciate if anyone can post photos of fashionable frames that might my suit my taste.
TIA

I just got these - I also didn't want the black plastic look.
I used to have frameless so it def. looks different but am very happy with them.
The look is softer bc the bottom half of the glasses are translucent pink.

OP here. I like this frame allot. It's the kind I've been envisioning for myself.
Do you know if this frame is also sold in Boro park or anywhere nearby?
Where did you have yours done and were you happy with their services?
Thank you so much

I highly recommend Best Eye Optical. My family has been going there for years. 48th street and 19th avenue. 718-633-2736
Call first to make sure Mrs. Fogel is there because she is the best with picking out frames that are good for your face. All frames come with a one year warrantee and when my sons frames broke they honored it and we got a new frame for free!

OP here. Thanks for posting the link. I Like those glasses.
It has a softer look than most of the acrylic (plastic) frames I'[ve been seeing on the streets lately.
I also like allot because it has a soft look as well
Are metal frames in style now? I thought that the acrylic (plastic) look was very much in since I've been seeing many of those on the streets lately. I happen to like syrimas's glasses as well.
Thanks both for posting the photos. I'm learning slowly but surely.

Just a small tip- if possible try to wear contacts when you go to a store to pick out frames. Its much easier to see how you look in frames when you can actually see

How true. I'm really nearsighted so never get a true idea of what I look like when trying on frames. I finally figured out what to do. I took a selfie and then looked at the photo. Problem solved!
