When did you start your EBF baby on solids?

Usually six months. But most recent babe was lurching at the table for real food by 5 mos. so I asked her doctor and started her on solids at 5.5 months. She was totally ready and a voracious eater!!! Six months is standard but some are ready a bit earlier or later.

I tried at 6 months but my twins were not interested. By 7 months, one was and the other waited until 9 months. My oldest was not interested until almost 10 months.

5.5 months since he was staring hungrily at my food whenever I ate. It still took him a month to get the hang of it, but by 6 1/2 months he got the hang of it. Now he gobbles up 3-4 meals a day besides for nursing!!!
