Can I give my baby silan (date honey)?

Is the bacteria that causes botulism found in silan or just bee honey?
I read that the bacteria is present in dust and the like so I'd think it's the pollen that's the issue (so silan would be okay) but if anyone knows for sure, that'd be most helpful! Smile

Bee honey it's excreted from the be. Silan is dates, sugar and water. Check what else. I wouldn't give it because of the sugar content, but I don't see a problem.

It's just syrup made from dates- it's nothing to do with bees or anything. I wouldn't give one with added sugar though.

What age baby are you talking about?

There isn't a problem with bacteria because it's a processed food. It's dates that are boiled and put in a sterile jar.
