If no one minds me being nosy- is there an overabundance of SI therapists, or is EI limiting the provision of SI services?

A few years ago they started cutting hours like crazy. EI instructors I know all had to take on second jobs since then. But that's just my impression, it's not like I know anything special about this - based on what I was hearing, I didn't even try. I think there remains higher demand for ABA instructors, but last time I had an offer for that they weren't paying very much, just increasing incrementally with experience and the only way you could really do well was with an advancement in rank such as BCBA. But I don't know how the agencies differ, just because the one that tried to recruit me was in the $40 range doesn't mean they all are.

I believe the official base rate is $54.17/ 30 mins and 67.14 for 60 mins, but diff agencies pay diff'ly, for 1hr I've had anywhere from $45-$70. It also depends if you are a 1099 or w2 worker (one takes taxes for you other doesn't). Some agencies pay more if you have more experience.

Nevertheless it's hard to get a decent SI caseload these days.

Omni is starting an Early Intervention department and is looking for special instructors. Try calling them.
