Which company (in your experience) is the cheapest to use to process credit cards? Overall, including fees.
I'm in NY, although I don't think the state makes much of a difference.

how many transactions per month?

percentage wise I did best with a machine but when I was processing fewer transactions it made sense to pay a higher percentage to propay and do away with monthly machine fees.

Just switch to banquest and saving money from my previous processor, but you pay less when you swipe the card, which we mostly do, as opposed to keying in online. It depends how many swipes you do a month.

We are very happy with banquest.
Pm me if you like and I can connect you with them.

thanks for the recommendation. I'll look into them.

I wouldn't be swiping cards. I would key in the information using a virtual terminal.

Ideally, it should be a system that can save card information, as people usually pay in regular payments.

propay does save card info on my clients--- I see the last 4 digits only when I pull up the client's name.

I don't remember being able to do that with the machine (I'm sorry I don't remember the name of that company--- it was a few years ago--- I got monthly statements, used them for taxes that year, filed them away, and forgot the name-- lol).

I'm very happy with fidelity. I recently (this summer) shopped around for the best rates, and while other companies may have been cheaper, I feel like Fidelity is very quick and professional so I stayed with them. Their rates are competetive as well.
