Why it's important to contribute to the Har Nof families: The needs of the families are not the same for all. Some of these families were barely making it even before the lives of the only or main breadwinner were so brutally taken. Widows who work may have to stop or curtail their hours now in order to care for 100% of the physical and psychological needs of the 24 orphans, many of whom are still young. At least one of the injured men is said never to be able to work again.

The State will provide a small stipend but it is paltry in comparison with all the physical and psychological support these widowed women and orphaned children will require.

There are several funds that have been established. My friend, whose husband manages the shul's affairs at the site of the attack, advises contributions to Kupat Ha'Ir, Victims of Har Nof Massacre Fund №: 2159. Rabbi Rubin, the shul's trustworthy rav, will oversee fair distribution of the funds. There is no overhead, all the money will go directly to the families in need.

Donating even a small amount joins you with supporters of these families affected by terror. I tested the site with $1 amounts, and it worked for both a US and an Israeli credit card but not for an international one. This link is specifically for: Victims of Har Nof Massacre Fund №: 2159
