My neighbor is heading to Frankenmuth, Michigan. We just heard on the radio that there is a power outage in Detroit. Does anyone know if Frankenmuth is anywhere near Detroit and if people heading to Frankenmuth would be affected in any way by the blackout?

I don't know about any blackout (again?), but they're 1 1/2 hours apart by car according to google.

Yes there is a major blackout in Detroit right now, affecting traffic signals and putting the People Mover out of service. People stuck in elevators....
