my child has sensory issues. though it doesnt affect him scholastically, or socially. I did notice a nice amount of chewing objects. like straws, or even lego that he swallowed, his sleeves, his peyes yes they are long enough. is this something I need to look into? he started this as soon as he got into kindergarten. its like almost 2 yrs since then. he saw another kid doing it and he copying. but does this have anything with sensory? why would a child chew things like hair, isnt it disgusting the taste? I know he will grow out of it. but I would love to understand this behavior if at all possible.
