I want to get a holiday gift for my housekeeper/babysitter (not Jewish, religious christian). My budget is very cheap. Any ideas?

perhaps a picture frame ornament, with a picture of your kids? you could even technically make (or have your kids make) the picture frame themselves, using popsicle sticks and other household items, .....
(years after our babysitter/housekeeper left us, I got my siblings together to take professional pictures for my mom, and got enough copies to give to my babysitter, she was so excited and happy for it.)
suggesting making it an ornament so she can hang it on her tree

In my neck of the woods, typical Xmas gift for housekeeper/babysitter is a tip equivalent to one weeks pay. Not cheap, but if you like her you may want to keep her. Ask around locally, if this is the norm she may be expecting it and seriously disappointed with a framed photo of your kids.
