I was looking for ppls ideas or menu for the week of chanukah.
My kids are always hungry by candlelight, but I can't be making latkes and by the candles at the same time

so make the latkes earlier and keep warm in oven.
if you are serving milchigs, make baked ziti/macaroni and cheese/lasagna/pizza, which can be rewarmed and still taste yummy
I don't really understand the question.

We have regular menus, maybe try to concentrate a little more on pleasing everyone with the dishes on the menu. Then we add something special like donuts one night, lakes another, zeppole, a nosh bag one night, etc.
If you want to serve sufganiot right after candle lighting, you can fry ahead of time so that they are ready right before lighting and everyone can dig in right after lighting.
I like to have dinner ready on time so we can sit down straight to the meal right after candle lighting.
