playmags I bought 3 years not matching to current playmags

Anybody else have that playmags they bought like three years ago don't match to the playmags,stickn stack,magnatiles they are selling today in the stores? I wanted to add to my set and they are not compatible Sad

I have that problem only with the rectangles but didnt do anything about it:(

The small rectangular pieces don't work like the other tiles because they only have one magnet on the ends. Every other piece has (at least) two magnets on each side, which allows them to attract in any direction.

OP, are they not attracting at all or only in certain positions?

Actually I made a mistake the set wasn't playmags it says xmag. I was told today by the store I bought it in that it was made 3 years ago by a company that closed ...so it doesn't match to any current set..they were nice they gave me some % off a new set..
