I am helplessly ignorant when it comes to food creativity.
I am trying to create a salad with items I have in the house. Before I start listing my pantry or fridge contents here is the challenge: What goes well with romaine lettuce and cherry tomatoes?

Truth is, any vegetable will go. What do you have on hand?

Then dress the salad with a lemon-grette consisting of 2 Tbsp lemon, 4 Tbsp olive oil, 1 garlic clove and salt & pepper to taste.

I use shredded cabbage and nuts or "salad sprinkles".
some avocado or cukes & peppers.
dressing: olive oil, agave syrup, balsamic vinegar. about equal amounts.
fresh garlic, scallions, parsley.

Bacon.
Ok. Avocado for sure. Cucumbers. Cold cuts. Simple ceasar with croutons. Shredded cheese. Anything really.

I appreciate all replies.
That being said, anything posted after 8 pm last night will only be helpful if I ever find myself again in this scenario.
Thanks for trying.
