I put the machine on whitest whites. It hot/cold and I put some bleach. In the bleach hole on top. TIA

Most likely the bleach is getting directly on fabric. major no-no. Dilute bleach 1 cup in 1 quart water. Add only after machine is full of water, ideally after machine agitates a few minutes to loosen dirt. You may also be using too much bleach. 1 cup per load will do. Lastly, your towels may be flimsy and not strong enough to withstand the agitation. Cottons from India and Pakistan are often of poor quality like this..
