Would like to plan a vacation with my dh for about a week. We do not have updated passports. Would really love to do something different than Miami. It's nice but really wanted somewhere we've never been to. Wd even start in Miami and drive from there. Any ideas for nice private beachy areas we can fly to without passports?

You can do anywhere along the east or west coast. For example, California - LA, San Diego, or Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
You can even do Puerto Rico or Hawaii.

US Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico. Both are part of the US so shouldn't need passports (but google to confirm).

I second the US Virgin Islands such as St Thomas or St John. They are beautiful, amazing beaches, and you don't need a passport.
