I know that there are a lot of threads on toys for children. However, I need something that will appeal to children of all ages, but that is not Magna Tiles or Clics. Budget is around $100. I am willing to consider two separate gifts for the older and younger sets.

How about lego? My 6 yr old, 9 yr old and 11 yr old all love it.

how about kapla blocks? depending on age, can build diff things. they have off brands too, which are cheaper.

or what about wedgits? little kids can stack them and older kids can build cool structures.
