Offered sil to make two salads for her shabbos bar mitzva/kiddush. Any good salad recipes? What type of salads do ppl put out?

I would definitely do one lettuce salad, can be ceasar, portobello mushroom with the ketchup dressing, nish nosh or something with fruit and nuts and a light vinaigrette,

for the 2nd salad, broccoli always goes over well but if you only use prechecked that can be expensive,

there are some nice cabbage salads with cole slaw mix, purple cabbage, purple onions and a soy sauce vinaigrette sprinkled with nuts and sesame seeds or chow mein noodles,

some people like to do pasta salad, I've found those don't go over as well, eople are looking for light

Nish nosh salad
flatbread salad (includes lettuce and purple cabbage)
caesar salad
euro salad
