I am just getting my feet wet in this confusing world of diagnosis being thrown around by unqualified people and would like to take my son for a complete psychiatric workup to see if he is ADHD or has a non-verbal learning disorder or executive function issues. Has anyone seen these doctors and what has your experiences been? What are the rates for seeing them privately?

I've heard wonderful things regarding Dr. Jummani. The other name is unfamiliar to me though.
I think Dr Jummani is affiliated with NYU Child Study Center. They are extremely professional and qualified.

I've been taking my children to Dr. Jummani for about 2 years and he is an excellent Dr. and a real mensch. Aside from the cost of testing which is high, routine visits are $300 for half an hour and he and his staff are always available on the phone. The only challenge is that there is a long waiting period for an appointment. Good luck with your decision.
