I need to purchase 2 car seats: for my 1 year old (she weighs 25 lbs) and for my 2.5 year old (he weighs 30 lbs).

I really know nothing about these things.

Can you please suggest the best ones? (preferably less than $250)

I love the Britax Roundabout 55. It is very comfortable and durable. It can be used in both infants (rear facing), toddlers and children upto 55lbs.
