Anyone have a good recipe? I have not had a lot of success with ground meat but would try it again if someone has a good recipe.

This recipe works every time, super easy to make. The men in my life (hard to please) love it and request it.

1 T vegetable oil
1 lb lean ground beef
1 large onion, diced
1 large clove garlic, minced
1/2 c chopped green pepper 4 T chili powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp ground cumin
pinch crushed red pepper flakes
1 (28 oz) can whole tomatoes or diced tomatoes
1 (approx. 14 oz can) tomato sauce
1 (15 oz) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained

Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown beef, stirring until it crumbles. Drain fat. Add rest of ingredients. Bring mixture to a boil, then let simmer for 45 minutes (I like it when it cooks for longer. I guess if you're doing this for Shabbos lunch, you'll leave it on low until then).
