Just came across this today, such hashgacha pratis!
Crispy Baked Apples:
4 gala or Fuji apples
2 tablespoons oil
1/2 cup ground almonds or walnuts
1/4 cup cornflake crumbs
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup sugar
1. Preheat oven to 350
2. Peel apples. Place oil in one plastic bag. In second plastic bag, combine the nuts, cornflake crumbs, cinnamon and sugar.
3. Place each apple first in the oil and shake to coat. Next, place apples in the crumb mixture and shake to coat.
4. Place apples in a baking son. Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 1 1/2 hrs to 2hrs, until apples have softened.
Yield:serves 4
Enjoy
