The name (plonis bas plonis/ploni ben plonis) in perek 119. Other perakim that you've heard said at gatherings for cholim, or when in distress. And anything that one's always felt a connection to - the kavana will be invaluable.
Refuah shleima and hope it goes smoothly.

say your own perek ... I.e. if you're age is 24 say כ"ה [since you're in your 25th year] then there's פרק כ', ק"ל, קכ"א

whatever you say is good

& of course we will keep you in our tefilos - refuah shelaima !!! Hug

at the beginning of almost any tehillim, they have a list of what chapters to say on different occasions:

recovery from illness: 6, 30, 41, 88, 103
help in troublesome times: 16, 20, 25, 26, 38, 54, 81, 85, 86, 87, 102, 130, 142
to awaken merit of ancestors: 16
for a favorable judgment: 7, 35, 93
---

I took these from the start of the Artscroll transliterated, and interlinear tehillim,

also, I would suggest, if there are any that have special meaning to you

and don't ever be afraid to say (in these or other words) "yo god, I'm about to go through surgery and I really appreciate any help you can give to make sure it goes smoothly. thanks god."

he understands all languages and dialects, and his phone line is never busy.

This.
My favorite prayer is a simple "Dear G-d: HELP!" and sometimes just plain "HELP!" with eyes cast Heavenward. I get tongue-tied and brain-tied under extreme stress.

Tehillim.

There are several chapters which are specific for someone who is ill.

20,6,9,13,16,17,18,22,23,28,30,31,32,33,37,38,39,41,49,55,56,69,86,88,89,90,91,102,103,104,107,116,118,142,143,148.

This is from back of the family Tehillin.

I also remember people spelling the name ben/bas the mothers name with the letters of chapter 119 (which has 8 pesukim for each letter). For example, if the name is dovid ben rus, you would say the 8 pesukim which begin with dalet followed by vav, followed by dalet, followed by beis, nun, reish, vav and tav.
