I like Adina. I think in Israel Talya is a more modern name.

Toss a coin and see what your gut-reaction to the outcome is.

Not modern at all. Very popular in the dati leumi circles but not so much in the cheradi circles.

Think about the meaning and what it means to you. They are both beautiful names and accepted in most communities.
Adina, I like the gentleness
Talia, I think of Hashem sprinkling dew
I understand your indecision

Talia is quite popular here in Israel in many circles, though I doubt among the charedi. Its pronounced with the emphasis on the 'ya' here. Its a fresh, nice name, classic-modern. Love the meaning (several actually).

Adina has a nice ring to it, and a nice meaning, but at least here it's considered very old fashioned. Hasn't yet made its comeback....

This, exactly.
Then again, if you're not in Israel it doesn't matter as much what's dated and what's popular now.

For what it's worth, Talya was very popular in modern Orthodox American circles for babies born in the Millennial generation. It is a little bit less popular now. Adina is up-and-coming in modern Orthoox circles (for the babies of those millennials). I know a lot more babies named Adina than Talya.

If you care about the impression of the name, Adina sounds a bit more frummy, Talya a bit more modernish.

I love both names and think that they're both beautiful.

I prefer Talia.

Was the baby born yet? If not, wait until the baby is born and once you see the baby that will help you decide. Many people get a feeling of which name suits the baby better once they see the baby.

I have associations with the name adina, but that's a personal bias. I like talya better and like the nickname tali.
