How do I know when I should start giving a second meal? Also, at what point will the baby be able to go longer between nursing sessions. Like if I nurse, an hour later a meal how long should the baby be able to go.

why not just offer your baby food whenever you're eating? put some in front of him and let him do what he likes.
how long a baby can go between feedings varies.

He's 6 months old and only recently started solids. Hoping to be able to stretch a feeding so that I dont have to pump so often at work. I know thats selfish but work gives me a really hard time about it.

solids shouldn't replace breastmilk at this age.
sorry, I totally hear you on not wanting to pump

I know it cant replace. Really all I need is for one feeding time to be stretched to a 5 hour interval instead of 4 and it will be great. Unfortunately I work for a frum organization so I dont feel I can really make a legal issue out of it even though I am within my rights to pump. I really cant stand the pressure.

In my country they say 3 meals at 6 months. I can't be bothered lol.
