woke up this morning & couldn't find my watch ... searched under the bed - between the blankets - in the bathroom ... did I flush it down the toilet in my middle-of-the-night excursion to pee ? [see what happens when you drink tequilla before bedtime][or does it merely age me & my bladder]
I feel naked without my watch - how does life exist without time ?

I've been relatively timeless for the 8 years I've been retired. I use a calendar and have to refer to it at times. I no longer wear a watch or have a cell phone beeping me to tell me it's time for my next meeting. I do attempt to carry my cell, but eh, sometimes I forget.

I hear you. Even though my cell phone and computer tell time, these are not timepieces. I feel uncomfortable without a wristwatch, too.

My watch battery died and I'm going bizerkos. I never have time to replace the battery...

Most shoemakers replace watch batteries. You can also buy one at radio Shack. They may or may not replace it in the watch, depending on store policy and how helpless you look.

If your watch is missing, and it makes you feel naked to be without it...
Maybe if you are alone and can look for it unclothed, it will come out from its hiding place.

believe me I stripped - just in case I would find it in my layers of pajamas & sweatsuits ...
my daughter found it behind the bathroom door ... guess after I washed my face & brushed my teeth it fell near the towels hooked behind said door
