I always buy egg challah because my husband likes it better. I would love to start buying water challah because it's cheaper and seems more shabbosdig. Any opinions?

Why does water challah seem more Shabbosdik?
I'm inclined to say buy what tastes better l'kavod Shabbos. I'm not one of those who say, spend, spend, all your expenses are paid, but challah is important. (Easy for me to say all this since I bake, and yes, it's a fraction of the cost.)
