I will be in the saddle river road area near newday and would like to know if anyone can help me with the closest dairy restaurant nearby. I would love to be able to walk from newday. I know there's sushi metsuyan and ridgesteakhouse not far but they are both meat.

Sushi Metsuyan and The Ridge are one and the same; new management. That's right next door to New Day.
I think the closest dairy restaurant will probably be a good half hour walk. Purple Pear is right across the street when you get out of saddle River and hit the 59, but it's a long walk.
