I have been teaching high school for awhile but have been thinking of trying my hand at college guidance. I have the experience of being their for my students through the process and writing recommendations, but I don't have the relationship with admissions offices nor do I have the experience of being fully immersed in the entire process. I intend to talk to the guidance counselor in my school about this, but is there anyone here who could tell me about it? How does one qualify? What is the job like day to day? Thanks.
