In the area she specified, the prices are still in the 1,500-1,600 range.
2,000 is in the heart of BP. Like if you want an apartment by 48 and 17....
The outskirts are still a bit less

39 and 16 is not outskirt anymore and is now 2000 too. 17 and 62 it 2000 as well!

You can also try kensington. Ditmas and E 2nd is three blocks away from 16 and 39 and much cheaper.

Good luck op! Took me and DH a year to find a nice apartment for a good price. I agree with this post above, we basically spent our wednesday and thursday nights looking at every apartment advertised in the link and torah times. New ones come out every wednesday, make sure to call right away bc things go fast.
