DH wants poppy seed hamantaschen. I have made them in the past and can't for the life of me remember how, but it was definitely not complicated. However when I google for a recipe everything seems so complicated - grind the seeds, melt butter, mix with this, then that...
Anyone have an EASY recipe? Something like "combine these three ingredients, mix. Done."
TIA

I suppose I should have specified I'm looking for a homemade recipe. Especially since we're ready to bake right now and not going to wait for a shopping trip.

I have never tried this ...
but it seems like you need to boil the poppy seeds to get them soft ... instead of all the other ingredients I would boil & drain the poppy seeds
then I would add prune butter for texture & flavour

I have seen recipes like this
1 cup poppy seed
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup honey
1/3 cup chopped dates
1/3 cup chopped nuts
Dash of cinnamon
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over low heat and stir often until thickened.
