Piccolino in Lakewood advertised a crib and dresser for $399 each.
Looks like my more expensive (about $700-800 each) crib set
http://www.babysplanet.com/roo.....o.htm
But I don't know if the one advertised by Piccolino is convertible (mine is). And I don't know how it will hold up. Looks pretty though, if that counts for anything!

I have Natart (the exact set pictured in the link I posted- I have the crib and the 6 drawer dresser, which I also use as a changing table).
I am very happy with it. Looks beautiful. The only thing I don't like is that the drawers don't slam shut- you actually have to push them closed, they don't just glide shut. But I am pretty sure that's a safety feature.

I was looking at Natart, beautiful stuff! But the average price for a crib alone is over 1000 $$

I think the one I got (Milano collection) was the cheapest of their collection (approx. $800 for the crib and approx. $800 for the dresser) I bought it from Living Quarters (in Brooklyn); call them, and they might have slightly better pricing than the websites.
Most of the other pieces were at least $1000 a piece, as you said.
If you are looking for a cheaper collection, call some of the Jewish stores, particularly those in Lakewood (such as Piccolino, which I mentioned earlier) where a lot of the clientele is looking for cheaper pieces.
