Brand new mom here! When driving with my baby in the car, can I leave her in the car seat to run out ( to pick up dry cleaners for example) without taking her in with me if the entire stop will take less than 2 minutes? Is this illegal?

Yes it's illegal in NY. Please don't ever do this no matter where you live.

Illegal and dangerous. Please don't ever do this, no matter how short the stop will be. It is not worth it.
