I am confused. I just got a text message from my son that today (erev rosh chodesh Nissan), is an auspicious day to say the Prayer for Parnosso by the Shelah Hakadosh. When I told this to a friend, she said it is said on erev rosh chodesh Sivan, not Nissan. Anyone know which is correct?

I also got a text, and my first thought was that it's the wrong timing for this. I also seem to remember Sivan.

Sivan is the Shla's tefilla for children.
As an FYI, there are tefillos one can say daily, one in Shma Koleinu, Parshas Haman...and of course, Bareich Aleinu in Shemone Esrei, with lots of kavana. So if someone is reading this and is feeling pressured that she's going to miss the boat but she needs to get off the computer and finish Shabbos, you stil have lots of opportunities.
ETA: I'm one of those women ;-) Actually, Shabbos is under control but I have a freezer to clean and some laundry. I just wanted to add that Pesach is the yom tov of emunah! Many people have spoken about this, Shira Smiles has some great stuff on matzah and emuna on Naaleh.com so this does make sense. But then, it would seem that Nissan b'chlal is an auspicious time to work on emunah, tefilla, aybe small readings, etc. related to emunah and bitachon, all sorts of ways to grow.
