Has anyone heard this? I wanted to send there next year but I hear that they will be closing which is a shame because they are one of the very few head start programs in Flatbush.

Where did you hear that?
I work for the office that runs their headstart program, and heard nothing of them closing. In fact, they have slots open.

Are they reopening for next year? Can you ask them?
I know they have slots open for this year but people are not being registered for next year and someone told me that's the reason.

Different amother:
Since reading this post I have asked them repeatedly and they have not given me a straight answer. I know people who have tried to register their kids for next year were told the program is not available, but they have not said anything to the parents who are registered there now. As a matter of fact they recently has a mandatory parent teacher night about internet safety and did not mention that the parents may not have a day care to send their children to next year. Would love to hear from other parents who have children in the program and may know more then me cause right now I'm just disgusted.
