I can't think of many games that suit a 5 and 18 year old. Rumikub is one. Also the card game set is good for all ages.

Apples to Apples. We also have a couple of storytelling games, although the only one I can think of right now is Aye, Dark Overlord.
It might be a good idea to look for games that can be played in teams, so that you can pair the younger children with someone older who can help them.

We love Qwirkle. I think it's officially from 8 and up, but my 5 year old is fantastic at it.
