I don't have a mesh strainer for pesach - only a strainer with bigger holes that the quinoa will fall through. Any advice on how to rinse/drain quinoa without a mesh strainer?

1. Rinse and agitate in taller and narrower container, drain the top using your hand to save most of the seeds.

Or

2. Line your colander with cheesecloth, put a second container underneath to catch some percentache of escaped seeds. Warning: they also stick to the xheesecloth. That's why I go with the first way.

I use a measuring cup with a spout.

I used papertowels, it worked surprisingly well

(note to self: get a strainer for next year.)

If you can get to the dollar store, they just sell small strainers and you can strain in small batches.

I bought 2 strainers on amazon; one for during the year and one for pesach. I think they were $7 each
