When I was a kid we got a cookie for finding the afikomen. And only the one that found it claimed the prize. I never heard of all the kids claiming a prize. (But we weren't frum and my cookie was a yummy chametz cookie!)

hmmm, my kids seem to have forgotten to ask for afikomen gifts this year. I wonder why? (now I am really puzzled...)

My parents gave Afikoman presents only to kids under bar/bas mitzvah.
We don't give Afikoman presents. We give a new game on erev pesach for the kids to be entertained over yom tov. Throughout the seder, we give out little things - "makos" from the dollar store, nuts, chocolate chips - to kids who participate and answer or ask any questions.
The kids love it!

Pocket a piece of the afikoman so you have leverage during the bargaining.
